Young Days. It all started out one evening where Luna was showing a photo album of Tommy and Luna back when they were younger. Junior wondered why his father never smiled in one of those pictures before the times when he met Luna. He also wanted to know how they end up knowing each other. That evening Luna and Tommy start telling Junior a story. Tommy recently moved to the outskirts of Ponyville not for long and he started working for the Railroad and didn't paid much at that time and it was his only job. Later, Celestia contact him for a side job, a chauffeur for her sister Luna, since he had a car and a 4 lane expressway was recently open between Manehattan to Los Pegasus. So why not show Luna around Equestria, after all she just recently came back from her banishment. After knowing each other and going to Manehattan, Luna noticed, Tommy was a grumpy young man, and wasn't friendly towards other ponies due to Human Segregation since childhood. He told Luna that he was bullied, and beaten up in school and in the streets for that. But he still respect other ponies because not all of them are bad. Still, Tommy was being a hot headed towards others, Luna decided to run away to see that if he really cares. After he went to look and chased after her, he caught up with her. This drove Tommy angry, but she was only testing him, or was she trolling him? This proves deep inside that he did cared. If he didn't, he would've walked away. As the day almost came to a end, Luna refuses to go back. She thought no ponies will love her night and everything will remain the same. Tommy decided to take her across the River at night before heading home, to show her that the new generation really changed the night. To Luna surprise as she saw the city skyline, that everyone is still awake at night and all the beautiful street and building lights grow brightly in the night sky and enjoying it. On the way home, Luna sees that everything has changed, even the little towns are awake at nights. This made Luna cry in happiest. Returning to the castle, Luna even had a hard time saying goodbye to Tommy even he told her that he is going to visit her very Saturday. From that day forward, Luna and Tommy became close friends. I will try to keep this story under 40 pages. It won't be too long. This story begins after "Sea Beach Line Incident."

The comic opens with Princess Luna flying down from Canterlot to Tommy's house with a brown saddle bag on her back carrying a photo album inside. Once she got to Tommy's house, Princess Luna got to the front door, she knocks the door and it opens, only to find Junior inviting her to come inside. Much to Tommy's delight, he is about to serve Princess Luna and Junior lunch.

As Luna took out the photo album out of her bag, she shows Junior photos of his father and herself. Only to be aware that Junior's father often got cranky, Luna adds that she recently returned from banishment and her magic isn't restored completely. At the same time, Tommy left the kitchen with plates of fried rice (common dish in Southeast Asia) and serves his son and Luna with the food itself. When Junior asks his dad why he does not smile in the pictures, Tommy says that it's all he takes, but Luna tells Junior to ignore that. The only exception was a picture with Tommy and Pinkie Pie, causing Luna to think that Tommy is always hesitant and grumpy, but no. Luna also tells Junior the story about how she and Tommy met, much to Junior's joy.

The story begins with 10 years ago when Tommy turned 19, leaving the big city into the countryside with his 1967 Cadillac Deville Sedan (the same car carried over from the comic Twilight Sparkle and the Big City) to start a quiet life. As he arrives at a house just outside of Ponyville, he gets a letter from Princess Celestia, deeming that Celestia knows his grandfather. Tommy accepts the job, he proceeds to Canterlot and arrives at the castle. One of the pony guards realizes that Princess Celestia sent him and one of the human automobiles. As Celestia and Luna came out, Celestia shows her sister the human being with a Cadillac. Given the fact that Luna hasn't met a human being before, Celestia bans Tommy not to smoke since it's bad for his health and may damage his lungs. As she introduces Tommy to Luna, Celestia and Tommy chat that his grandfather is OK, but Tommy explains that his uncle died, leaving him devastated. Given the fact that Luna hasn't sit in a car before, Tommy starts his Cadillac, scaring Luna off. She enters the Deville's rear seats and the duo left for Manehattan, taking 2 hours.

On the way to Manehattan, Tommy tells Luna that normal human being habits consists of listening to music, watch TV and stuff like that. He turns on the radio and jams to the songs Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (Cyndi Lauper), Manic Monday (The Bangles), Like A Prayer (Madonna), The Best (Tina Turner), If I Could Turn Back Time (Cher), Take On Me (a-ha), Always Something There to Remind Me (Naked Eyes) and Fields of Gold (Sting). However, a disbelieved Junior realizes that the songs shown are exceeding 30 years old, better than today's songs. The story continues with both Tommy and Luna arriving Manehattan after 2 hours of driving, much to Luna's confusion as she has never seen Manehattan becoming so big, but Tommy explains that times have changed. As he stops at a traffic light, the junction is badly jammed due to a bus blocking the intersection, leaving behind an angry Tommy swearing, causing him to park next to the road and go by foot. While walking by foot, Luna advises Tommy not to yell at everyone and everypony, but all the humans and ponies around Tommy do not give respect and always makes him angry all the time. He unintentionally bumped into an Earth pony mare with pink mane and white coat, causing him to swear once more, leaving an uncomfortable Luna seeing Tommy swearing with other ponies.

In order to stop the argument, Luna quickly disappears into the bus, causing Tommy to chase after her. Once he burst into the bus, he finds that Luna disappeared, causing Tommy to chase after Luna once more and gets exhausted, so he sits on the doorstep nearby. Luna appears next to Tommy, scaring him in the process. Her action has left behind an angry Tommy accusing Luna acting like a jerk around the public. To make things possible, Luna sees Tommy doing workouts by chasing after her in order to lose anger and make him healthy. But much to his disagreement, Tommy says that running is as stupid as hell which is why Luna runs off for no reason. In the meantime, Luna allows a unicorn mare to enter the taxicab's rear seats, much to her pleasure. Upon reaching the subway, Luna is distracted seeing a signboard with a long distance line (carried over from the comic Twilight Sparkle and the Big City) until Tommy gives her a token to enter. As the train pulls over, the duo enters the subway train and a humiliated Tommy becomes a severe bully victim many years ago. He is severely beaten up by a swarm of irresponsible and selfish ponies which causes him not to learn at school too much and leave permanently. To make matters worse, Tommy defends a woman who also becomes a bully victim, which causes Tommy to end up in school court by Chancellor Neighsay and expelled from education. At the same time, Princess Celestia enters the courtroom before Tommy is found guilty.

After Tommy is found innocent, he is taken out of court which changes Equestria, Princess Celestia stood up on the podium and appears ahead of the public in order to quit the hatred between ponies and human beings. Fade to many, many years later, human development and inventions such as construction, automotive industry, TV and phone network has existed in Equestria over the past 200 years, leaving a confused Luna that Celestia went all of this alone. After leaving the subway, the duo have lunch, went to an art gallery and Luna even played a game at an arcade until she destroys it completely, causing Tommy to pay the damage. On the way back, Tommy calls his parents using a phone booth and have dinner afterwards. In the meantime, Luna thinks that a human couple was arrested 45 years ago for vandalism and assault by throwing tomatoes at Celestia during the Summer Sun Celebration at Central Park. After leaving the house, Tommy and Luna pulls over to the park because she suffered depression and not return to Canterlot due to all the hatred and suffering of human beings, leaving a sympathetic Tommy. Luna suffered a nightmare for being Nightmare Moon and buried in the moon, but much to Tommy's disbelief.

In order to solve the problem, Tommy takes Luna to the ferry docks, she opens her eyes and Tommy calls Manehattan THE CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS due to excessive modern tech, making all humans and ponies stay up all night and went to nearby parties, watching movies, talents shows and stuff like that. A confused Princess Luna is not dreaming after all and the duo head back to Canterlot. After taking Luna back, Tommy often visits her once a week such as going on vacation, eating hot dogs, snapping pictures and even attend a talk show as well. Set to 5 years later, Tommy took Junior as his son. At the same time, Luna even gets tickets to attend a live performance by Canadian singer Bryan Adams live in Ponyville, so the trio scampered to the concert before the sun goes down. Upon arrival, all the ponies and humans cheers for him and the comic ends with Adams and the band singing the song Summer of 69.
