It's been a while since I've drawn something for myself, so I thought I'd do something for one of my favorite nextgen babs: Penumbra or Penny. The story behind this pic has something to do with Penny's insomnia. Even as the daughter of a dream walker, she has always had a difficult time getting to sleep which often lead to Luna trying many different methods of soothing in order to help her daughter rest.
I want to say this picture is set before the two of them inevitably return to Canterlot. Luna was still coming to terms with the fact that she had such a cute daughter and Penny was still a bit unstable- so they took their time away from the castle to bond and pose for cute things in cold pools of water for some reason.
