Making an origami of Maud Pie posed some special challenges. Her mane is tricky to get into a shape that will fit to the shape of the origami figure (with the narrow dent for the ears, the rather thin mane along the back of her neck, and the very straight fringe that mustn't end up so low as to cover the eyes nore so high that she would end up with a strangely high forehead).Also, Maud Pie is perhaps the most contantly dressed characters in the show. Her cutie mark is visible for only a few frames in the show (said cutie mark is printed underneath her mantle) so I had to tailor her mantle from the samke kind of tissue paper which I used for the different dresses in the recent Rarity themed project. The origami of Maud Pie will be part of a larger project which I'm going to post soon, but I wanted to give her some proper spotlight by posting one picture just of her rather than as part of the larger project only.
