Fluttershy had never felt so terrified of a forest. Never mind the gloomy shadows, the eerie fog, or the crooked trees that surrounded her. What truly disturbed her was that she hadn't heard a single chirp or seen a single paw print.
This is a drawing—along with a handful of others—I began a few months ago and left unfinished. Couldn't find the motivation to work on it, or came up with new drawing ideas that I was more excited about at the time. Halloween eventually barged in and gave me the motivation I needed to finish it up.
I spent a lot of time trying out a few new techniques with painting hair, and I'm mostly pleased with the result. Outlines are still a huge crutch for me, so I'll need to work on new techniques to minimize those in the future. Definitely enjoyed painting the trees, though.
