Magic Hat is Twilight Sparkle's grandfather from her mother' side. When he was young, he discovered that his special talent is stage performance and stage magic and got his cutie mark. With that, he went traveling from town to town, performing for a living, until the day he went to Canterlot. There, he met a lovely young mare, Twilight Twinkle, and they fell in love with each other. She went traveling with him to a few more towns, until they finally got enough money to properly start a family. They married and had twin daughters, Twilight Velvet and Twilight Star.This drawing was made both traditonally and digitally. The sketch and lineart were made in paper and the coloring and shading were made with Sketchbook Express for Android, as always.Decided to do something different for once. I wasn't really happy with how the designs for those characters went, so I'll update all of them before I post new ones. I hope you like it, 'cause I sure did! UPDATE (5/5/2016): Added a simple color guide for anyone to use!
