The scene would have ended the same either way, and any efforts Gralo could have taken to demoralize Nahmat or the ponies would have been for naught. Nahmat's too stubborn, and the ponies are too desperate for help to have doubts about putting their trust in Nahmat. So as much as I'd have liked to have Gralo debate with Nahmat, he's just not the kind of villain who's expend his energy on things he knows aren't worth while.So there's something to think about: Gralo doesn't give terrifying speeches just for his own amusement, he gives them to weaken the spirits of his victims.As for Nahmat, it looks like she's been brooding on her earlier choices as much as Celestia.
