Based on the Chinese comic panels from:
After hearing many independent journal reports about the Native American protests against *DAPL** (Dakota Access
Pipeline), I decided I wanted to draw my first political cartoon about the *O*xymoronic *I*nquisition *L*egionnaire
(O.I.L) police brutality, militarization and hypocrisy against the peaceful (yet very adamant) water protectors and
their blind servitude to protecting an oiled corporate machine instead of the American citizens.
Crimes against citizens by the "O.I.L police" included (but not limited to):
-sicking dogs onto unarmed citizens
-throwing protesters into dog kennels
-issuing an arrest warrant against a journalist covering the protest
-planting a DAPL employee to incite violence within the protesters
-almost blowing off an arm of a protester with a concussion grenade
As winter is coming (excuse the GoT reference), criminal cops are now issuing $1000 fines to collaborators who
support the native protesters with winter supplies and gear, to which I say:
"They might as well throw the Native Americans into a large walk-in meat freezer!" (hence the choice of cartoon depiction)
I chose Zecora to be the main protagonist in this short comic, because some Black Lives Matter members are now joining the fight against DAPL, plus her forest home was the great lumber source to make more toothpicks for the Flim Flam Industries, so I figured she would be a greater motivating leader (and target) for this cartoon.

Note: The title of the comic comes from a similar phrase meaning "pour oil on troubled waters", which means
to calm down a situation or person
