"Seriously?" Rainbow Dash groaned in exasperation. Her aching wings were already quivering with anticipation when Quibble slapped on that dumb sign.

"Yes. Please be back in ten minutes." Quibble tapped his forehooves nervously.

"Quibble, hon, I haven't flown in five months. Five. Months." Rainbow stared at her boyfriend with eyes scarred by boring days of lying in grass and drinking hot soup. "I NEED at least twenty minutes."

Quibble Pants whimpered, and Rainbow rolled her eyes in defeat. "I'll be very careful. After all, I'm going to be a mom. I know that I'm not the only one flying right now."

"But what if you sprain a wing and fall into a river of torrential death, and float away to the ocean, and you have to have our child by the sea? You know what salt does to our fur! He'll be bald in a week!"

Rainbow snorted, pressing a hoof to Quibble's lips. "Yo. You need to chill. Who's the best flyer in Ponyville and Cloudsdale?"

"You are…"

"And who became a Wonderbolts cadet at the ripe age of 19?"

Quibble sighed, looking away indignantly. "You did."

Rainbow gave him a rare, warm smile, "And who would never, ever let anything hurt you, nor our baby?"

Quibble met her gaze sternly, with a touch of worry, "You promise?"

"Haha, you know me, I never break my promises. Even when it's totally out of my control."

"Rainbow!"

"Kidding! I promise, everything will be fine. I'll fly the safest routes, and I'll ride the thermals so I don't exhaust myself." Rainbow was getting antsy, "Can I please go in good conscience now?"

Quibble was quiet for a moment. The russet stallion stepped to his girlfriend, pressing his muzzle to hers, taking her by disgruntled surprise. "Okay. Come back in twenty minutes."

Rainbow smiled, saluting him, "Yes sir!" She kissed him sweetly, and with one powerful wing-stroke, she was airborne, and vanished from sight. A few moments later, a rainbow blasted across the sky with a powerful boom. Quibble jolted. He would surely scold her for the reckless indulgence later. However, he didn't have to wait for later, as Rainbow landed softly in front of him seconds later, a look of horror on her face. Quibble ran to her, forgetting his scolding, and instinctively sniffed her for wounds.

"What happened? Did you sprain a wing? Stub a hoof? Anemia? Oh my god, do you have GERD?" Quibble voice squeaked with utmost concern.

Rainbow looked at him, and calmly said, "Umm…my water just broke."
