After meeting Mako's marefriend, Lady's calm visit was suddenly tensed. But for her brother's sake, she put on a sweet attitude when he arrived home. It was a pain to pay nice with him in the room. Once Bubble Lee left the house, and Mako lead Lady to his shop things appeared to seem fine.

Lady: Well this is something I I'd doing. But it was a very nice shop, a lot of interesting things.

Mako: What did you do..?

Lady: stiffens up slightly but doesn't move … Hm?

Mako: I know you did something to Bubble. I could see it. What happened?

Lady: Nothing. Turns to face him, smiling We talked, got to know each other, then had some tea.

Mako: stares her down, his ears twitching

Lady: ….. smile starts to fade …. I'm just trying to help you..

Mako: And what part of it was "helping", she was so nervous I thought she'd jump out of her fur!

Lady: Hmph. That would've been entertaining to see.

Mako: Lady.. said in a low growl

Lady: Well what were you expecting, Mako? That I'd just, be smiles and giggles when meeting this mare? What do you even know about her, how do you know she can be trusted?!

Mako: It's only been a couple weeks, I'm not going to snoop and stick my nose in places it doesn't belong just to see if she's hiding anything!

Lady: Well maybe you should! I'm not going to watch as you get hurt again!

Mako: I can take care of myself in case you haven't noticed! I'm not as naive as I used to be, you don't have to protect me anymore..!

Lady: How would you know? Mako, I've heard her name before. Back in Ponyville, I've heard things and it doesn't sound like she's someone you should be involved with.

Mako: ears twitch, tilting his head …. What are you implying..?

Lady: scoffs Please. That while thing about toothpaste being able to get rid of hickeys. How do you think she'd know something like that? That didn't sound even the least bit suspicious to you?

Mako: eyes tense, his fists tightening but then relaxing However, or WHY she'd ever learn that is none of my business. I don't know if you'd figured it out yet, but it's not like I've been a saint over these years we've been apart.

Lady: looks at Mako in surprise, then growls Ugh, of course. Why wouldn't I be surprised, of course you'd end up with a hussy when you yourself are the bigger-

Mako: So I'm supposed to take this from you? Cuz from what I'm getting, you were too wrapped up in Estrus to really care WHO was Daniel and Annie's father!

Lady: eyes widen and bares her teeth in a snarl

Mako: ears fold back …. Shit…




15 minutes later

Mako: standing in the kitchen, cleaning scratches and bite marks on his arm ARE YOU INSANE, TACKLING ME LIKE THAT?!

Lady: …………. sitting on the couch, drinking tea to calm down I said I was sorry…

Mako: You tackled me… WHILE PREGNANT!!!

Lady: rubs her belly I'm fine, alright? I'm not fragile now just because I have a bun in the oven.

Mako: sighs, putting away the first aid kit he keeps in the cabinet Of course you're not, because you've spent most of your lifetimes fighting and scaring ponies off..

Lady: ………..

Mako: walks over and sits next to her

Lady: ….. Sorry I called you whore..

Mako: … Me too..

Lady: I'm just scared for you Mako..! I don't want things to repeat themselves, how do you she's not just another one those elitist unicorns that just use ponies to get what they want? She certainly looked too high maintenance, even for you. Unicorns are a bit stuck up..

Mako: … Are you saying that Mom was too..?

Lady: ears perk up and eyes widen I-I didn't mean- mom was different..!

Mako: What about your daughter? She's a unicorn.

Lady: She's not a full unicorn, and-

Mako: What about your fiance?

Lady: He's certainly not like that if he asked me to marry him!

Mako: Then what's your real problem with Bubble?!

Lady: It's not Bubble I have a problem with, it's anyone!! I don't want to lose you after I just got you back!!!

Mako: ears twitch, his eyes widening.. He hadn't thought of it like that.. After all these years, he finally reunited with his sister… But for Lady, it looked like she was going to lose him already.." ……..

Lady: *looks down in her cup of tea … When you first had a marefriend.. it was like you hated being home.. Like you hated being around me.. You got so wrapped up in being with someone that couldn't see who she really was, and you almost died out in the middle of the forest because of it..! I don't want to just sit by and do nothing while you're being lied to again! Tears up a bit I don't want to lose you again… I just got you back…..

Mako: ….. puts an arm around her and rubs her shoulder, bringing her in close Lady.. I know you're worried.. but I care about Bubble….a lot.. and I want this to work, but I have scaring her off…

Lady: ………….

Mako: ….glances at her broken horn and torn ear …… I can see things got harder after we got separated.. I'm sorry you had to go through those years without me…I missed you very much..I missed dad..I missed grandma, and auntie… but things are better now, aren't they..?

Lady: nods her head ………….. looks down at her engagement ring, starting to chuckle ….Things really have changed…. just like dad said they would….

Mako: smiles a bit .. Yeah. Sure looks that way..

Lady: leans against Mako's shoulder, letting out a sigh

Mako: rests his head on hers ….. I know you don't like her. But can you at least make an effort?..

Lady: sighs, rolling her eyes, but smiling I suppose I can play nice. Heheheh ~

Mako: snickers So much sincerity.

Lady: chuckles But, don't expect me to be so accepting just yet.. I still have my suspicions, but I'll just wait and see what happens I guess.

Mako: I wouldn't expect anything else.

Lady: smiles and sets her cup on the coffee table before turning to hug him tight

Mako: hugs back, being careful not to hug too tight

Lady: sighs ….. so….. what exactly is she going to college for?

Mako: She's planning on becoming a nurse.

Lady: violently shutters

Mako: looks at her, confused What was that?

Lady: N-nothing I just…. Ugh! I hate hospitals!

Mako: snorts and starts laughing

Lady: Oh- GO HUG AN OCTO-PONY!!!

Mako: shutters violently

Well, that could've gone better! XD But at lest they talked things out. Lady doesn't fully like the situation, but she's willing to try for Mako's sake. Eventually she warms up to Bubble and the two become good friends. In fact, she even become pretty protective of Bubble. But we'll get to that.
