H: Holy shit, this is so cool!
T: Hazy, language!
H: Right, sorry, mom.
T: It's okay. Either way, I'm glad you like it. Every one was very excited to have this hearths warming eve party with you.
H: I was wonderin' how you rich ponies celebrate the holidays.
S: We suppose it must be our brothers first , correct?
H: Nah, I've had hearth warming parties before.
S: Truly? With trees, friends and food?
H: Yeah, though it was a bit of a hassle. First we'd have to dig through garbage all day to find food, which usually amounted to nothing. If we couldn't find any tossed out food, we have to steal some from the nearby towns. It's not impossible but if the store owners know you, they kick you out immediately so you had to be careful not to be noticed too much or they'll chase you out with a broom or something. (Chuckle) Actually, a guy tossed this little tree at me once for stealing his day old bread. It hit some other foal but I caught it and brought it back. Then we'd all huddle around our individual fire pits and try to keep warm enough to midnight so we could raid some of the wealthier houses for presents for the younger foals and- Why are you hugging me!?!?

Hazy's first Hearths Warming Eve with his new family. While he's stopped trying to run away and stealing things, Hazy still isn't used to all the nice things around him. He still doesn't even sleep in his own bed cause he doesn't think it belongs to him. It's too nice. Sirius and Twilight welcome him with open arms and he just basks in the beauty of the holidays.
Hazy has only recently gone from being homeless to living with a princess as a mom. In fact, he's only recently started calling Twilight mom, which is why she is smiling. Still, Twilight and Sirius always feel sorry for Hazy when he so casually tells them about his life before being adopted. Hazy doesn't get why he so often gets hugs but doesn't mind it too much. It's nice to get hugs sometimes…
