Breathing hard, I reloaded as quickly as I could. He’d flung his gun when his focus snapped. I couldn’t risk him getting it again. I lifted the reloaded shotgun. P-21 was shouting something, but there’d be time for that later! Then I got shot in the ass. The sudden bloom of pain in the back of my leg scattered my thoughts as well. Damn it, hadn’t I decided back in Stable 99 not to get shot any more? I looked back, and my eyes met the shocked face on P-21. He was shaking as he bit down on the brown unicorn’s gun. I calmly put the safety back on, and just in the nick of time, as he pulled the trigger a few more times. The friendly fire had turned my E.F.S. red. I supposed it was the first time he’d shot a gun. “Aim. Then fire,” I said through the haze of pain. I turned back to U-21.“Blackjack!” P-21 yelled in a strangled voice behind me, and I looked back at him. There was a look on his face; strained and anguished. “He’s done! Please! Don’t murder another 99 male.”
So, I finished reading the first volume of "Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons" just a few days ago and, to be honest, I found myself rather satisfied with this novel! Of course it has lots of stupid plot twists and totally thoughtless and stupid characters' actions plus it still is some sort of graphomania and the plot as well as charachters are not as good as those in the original FoE, but I don't regret reading it so far! Though, my attitude can change in the future. I guess only time wiil show wether it will or not. :)
Now, there's a small tribute. Yeah, yeah, I know… But I've run out of ideas, okay?) Besides, it's quite hard to find any nornal postapocalyptic maps reminding Fallout scenery (Half-Life's maps are too bad for such things). I still have difficulty with finding a normal vault map. So, here you have it, a moment from the middle of the second chapter where P-21 shoots Blackjack's butt instead of U-21. Still find it remarkable how she was able to talk, run and think clearly without distracting to a bullet in her ass)) That's gonna hurt a lot, I think…
