I was wondering back after his episode with Rainbow Dash. Can Quibble join one of another Daring Do's adventures? Well, why not? So I draw this.

I also write a little story for this drawing. English was not my primary language and I'm so sorry for any mistakes.

"Daring Do and the Heart of Vehoovius"


Quibble Pants received letter from A.K. Yearling requesting him for helping her write the new book of Daring Do. But Quibble Pants was asked to go to an unusual place, Mount Vehoovius. Mount Vehoovius believed as one of active stratovolcanoes in Undiscovered West of Equestria. Folktales says that the mountain hold a giant diamond known as "The Heart of Vehoovius". Many ponies went to search it for wealth and fame, but all of them never come back. They were considered "gone" because volcano's extreme activity.

Too much surprise for Quibble. He learned that Daring Do goes inside the volcano. Following her steps, he encountered some odds and outré and more. The volcano have stairs and unusual ruins on the crater. He realized that the volcano is actually inactive and used as secret temple complex constructed vertically inside the parasitic cone all the way to the pipe of volcano. On his search, Quibble found Daring Do being held by unknown ponies in weird attire, possibly the followers of the temple. Quibble decided to be hero and used stealth to the temple to save her.

The more deep he goes, more weird things he saw. The temple become more colourful. The walls have some bright "veins" circulating around in line. Each wall have different colour, seems unimportant but beautiful. Room after room, he found Daring Do tied on a cell looking chamber with no one guarding her. After released, Daring Do immediately grabbed Quibble and both of them went deeper into the mountain. Quibble asked Daring but she paid no mind. The stallion stopped abruptly and demanded answer left Daring Do to no other choice but comply Him.

She explained that the explorers that went to the mountain back before was not "gone". They have been mind-controlled and used to be servant in the temple. Daring believed that something must be controlling them. She told Quibble that she need to stop it and grab the diamond for archaeology which located deep in the mountain. She need Quibble for help because…

She cannot do it alone.

Quibble shocked because Daring admitted her weakness. He decided to help her and with a thanks, both of them goes to the heart of Vehoovius.

They found themselves in one of many volcano's sill. But this one is different. The sill used as inner sanctum of the temple. With bright light both of them saw the unbelievable. The diamond almost as big as a pony head. Coloured in bright white (which lighted the sill) with little hint of red.
Daring Do approached the diamond that rested in an altar and went to reach it. This will be the greatest discovery of pony culture she ever achieve. With this, she ca-

Daring's hoof stopped by Quibble's and He quickly put it back to ground. Daring show confused face and Quibble pointed the surrounding wall with one of His hoof. Daring still confused, she looked at the walls. The walls filled with colourful "veins" lines. Her eyes followed the lines and all of them gathered on base of the diamond. Quibble Pants realized before that the colours on the "veins" were to bright, just like God of Chaos' magic. He put two and two together which made Him realized.

The diamond is a talisman that powered the temple to hypnotize ponies inside it.

He told Daring about it and brought shock to Daring Do's face. Her face was down. Heavy thought goes inside her. Quibble went to comfort her but Daring turn to face him that brought question to him.

Without warning Daring kicked the diamond behind her so hard that it flew from the altar and ricocheted around the room. After that, the inner sanctum produced a rumbling sound and walls went shaking. Even if the diamond was the most valuable artifact. Daring do not want things that brings chaos and misery. Grabbing Quibble, both of them flew up escaping from crumbling temple. But as they goes, something went wrong. Both of them immediately fell backwards and crashed onto floor. Gravity have spun, so they decided to climb the wall.

The temple collapsed around them, revealing another odd. The volcano believed to be active because the smoke and lava coming out of it sometimes. But they were not came from underground magma. They came from dragon looking creature that lived on empty magma chamber. The collapsing of the temple caught creature's attention and it went aggressive. It fire some fire ball and producing lava around it which fill the volcano. Quibble Pants and Daring Do did their best to climb and jump from other wall to another (which now became weird looking cube full of colourful "veins") floated inside the volcano.

Realized that they will never going out alive with this progress. Quibble asked Daring to spread her wings wide open. Daring comply Him and did what he say. The high temperature of the lava produced by the creature went up and bring boost to Daring Do to goes up flying. Grabbing Quibble, both of them escaped the volcano.

Both of them landed on forest at the base of the mountain. They quickly recover themselves and search for survivors.

No one to be found.

Daring became disappointed in herself but nonetheless she did her best. She got up and asked Quibble to follow her.

She got news for the Princess.
