Personality; Compared to his younger years, Topaz has opened up to those around him. He knows what's right in his heart and follows it thoroughly, occasionally doing whatever is best for his wife and children. Despite his past and the horrid things he had done, Topaz does his best to try and make up for it all. He knows it won't bring any pony back, but every good deed he does gives him a little hope that he has a chance of being another pony.His relationship with his wife, Opalescent Pearl, has always been positive, and he remembers her the most from his scattered and blurred memories as Sombra. Despite his past, he loves her and she loves him, and Topaz decided to devote his time to his family and wife. Because of Pearl, Topaz knows how to be a better pony, taking her advice and kind words as she helps him towards his goal.About; Ever since he was a colt, Topaz had been silent and kept to himself, avoiding the limelight that his two sisters frequently received due to their status. He instead kept to his studies, furthering his knowledge in any subject he could get his hooves on. Unsatisfied with both his life in the Crystal Empire and the diminishing amount of books he could read, the young prince left without a word into the tundra of the Frozen North. No longer bound to his home, he set for the much more thriving and plentiful nation of Ponyland that resided in the East, hoping to seek out a mentor to teach him. His journey was a success and he began to learn different arts, one of them being dark magic, which led to his body being slowly changed from the dark energy. Topaz does not recall much from his time as King Sombra, his memory blurred and suppressed from the dark magic.Due to his history in the Crystal Empire, Topaz and his family moved to Tambelon to start a fresh slate. He accepted the job offer of training future guards for the Tambelon Imperial guard and serves as its captain. He spends plenty of time with his children as he has less hours than his wife, but certainly doesn't oppose the title of a stay-at-home dad.
