"To me, a train ride isn't just a method to get from 'here' to 'there', even though a lot of people see it that way. It's just one of the minor inconveniences of life to them. They'll be the first to take out a notepad or some kind of file, eyes glued to the paper, trying to convince themselves the train is just an office without their favorite stapler, and a bit more noise. Heck, I've seen a couple actually taking out a stapler, if you can believe that! Now, I don't think that's wrong — to each their own, you know? But me, I like to enjoy the ride. Even if the seats aren't the most comfortable thing ever, and you're confined to one place for quite some time, there's always perks. Just imagine — just outside the window is a constant stream of sights you'd normally have to spend days to visit on foot. And yes, they only last for a moment, but that's kinda the point, isn't it? They're fleeting, temporary, blink and you miss it. They're not all nice, either, but they are different. You can let your mind go, and imagine stories to each little village, field, and vista. To me, a train ride is like a trip around the country in fast forward. Although sometimes, the best sight isn't outside the windows at all."
