"…maybe we could have become friends."

Well, I saw both episodes of Season 2 of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and they both rock. I have to say, Discord is my ultimate favorite villain of 2011. He just has this charming character that makes me glad he wasn't someone too scary evil. He's also pretty cute. :D

And I really loved the interaction between him and Twilight. If anyone can recall that scene in episode 1 where he strokes her cheek after taking away her horn, I will admit that sent shivers down my spine as well as giving me this hint that maybe he likes her. Talk about an interesting couple. :XD:

After watching episode 2, I will admit I was a bit sad when Discord was turned back to stone after Twilight and her friends regained their power and used the Elements of Harmony.

I had been hoping he would change his ways, become a friend to dear Twilight and give his life to helping others in Equestria…boy, was I disappointed at the end of that episode. :(

So, as tribute to the second season of MLP FIM as well as to Discord, I made this.

And yes, that's Mordecai with Twilight up there.

And yes, he's BLONDE. :iconblondecaiplz:

For all those RS fans, I'm sure you guys are excited for the upcoming episode where Mordecai dyes his hair blonde, thus being given the name Blondecai. He looks really good with blonde hair. :rofl:

But now he's embracing his new look for the time being on account of Twilight telling him she likes his hair. Win for him! :XD: He's already impressed her with his enthusiasm for magic and thinking of going to college and becoming just like her [link] He'll be winning her heart in no time. ;)

It's been two weeks since the defeat of Discord, and his statue is back in the gardens of Canterlot where his scared expression is seen by everyone. Everything is at peace and every pony is happy.

Except for a certain unicorn.

Though Twilight's proud of herself that she and her friends had saved their home in Ponyville as well as all of Equestria from chaos…she can't help but feel that she still did something wrong.

Arriving in Canterlot and dressed up for a special dinner with old classmates, Twilight and Mordecai enter the gardens where they meet up with the statue of Discord.

Twilight takes one look at the scared face of the old enemy and she can't help but feel that maybe she could have done something else without having him turned to stone.

She regrets what's happened to him, and wishes he could still be in the flesh…and maybe she could have worked something out with him…

…like offer her friendship.

Even though Twilight knew how chaotic and evil he was, the unicorn saw that there was a little goodness in his heart…

Now her heart aches with remorse every time she sees Discord like this…

Mordecai isn't sure he could feel sorry for Discord. Although he wasn't around when Twilight and her friends were on their adventure, he had read some books regarding Discord and the troubles he had caused for Equestria as well as Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.

But to see his dear friend Twilight beating herself up for turning Discord into stone as he had been once before, Mordecai can give his condolences for the creature.

Twilight's promised herself that every time she visits Canterlot, she would pay Discord a visit, and with flowers to show that she still is willing to offer her friendship to him if they ever meet again.

I think that after I finish my Invader Zim cartoon crossover story Earthworm Zim I'll make a story that takes place after the events of Earthworm Zim and after the defeat of Discord, where Twilight struggles between protecting her friends as well as helping someone she wishes to be friends with. Of course, it's going to be another cartoon crossover. ;)

You know, I just realized that after I finished coloring Twilight's beautiful gold yellow dress, she reminds me of Belle from Beauty and the Beast! And Discord is the beast! :rofl:
