Hundreds of years of slumber have not extinguished her hunger for books and experiments: if anything, her dreams sustained them through the dark centuries. Awakened by Buttons' careless act (and Mr. Blauserration's littering, perhaps), the purple humanoid drowsily get up from her bed of plants and marble, to the astonishment of the herd in front of her.
"Well, well, well," she said. "Have you brought any books yet?"
Many of them replied with "No"s, against Mr. Blau's warnings that doing so will provoke her.
But it did not do so (or did it?). While she calmly munched some berries that she found on her lap, Mr. Blau hissed to the herd that they should leave as soon as possible. The horses slowly went backwards, before turning around and running away.
The enormous stone door that led them into the Tomb of Twilight slammed shut, as a big grin grew along the purple humanoid's face.
"If you don't have any books to bring," she muttered, "all of you here will be my research for today. My … experiments." She giggled as she slowly approached the frightened horses.
(This is one of the best of my pony-related artworks, mainly due to the angle focusing on Twilight waking up on her "bed" of a large snowflake decoration and tinsel.)
