"Pff, you think you're something? Check out these guns!"
"Moony, I can literally lift and throw you with one arm."

Twilight Moonstone caught her brother flexing in front of a mirror again, and decided to join in. I'm sorry Moony, but Spike's right -in a competition of strength, you're a bit outclassed here.

Just trying to figure out how Spike should look in my next gen 'verse. I debated whether Spike should have plantigrade or digitigrade feet -when testing drawing both, I personally prefered digitigrade, but in the show he's plantigrade. While I guess I could either say he became more digitigrade as he grew/in this universe he is and always has been digitigrade? But I still felt like I should stick to the show on basic anatomy, and gave him plantigrade feet. Based on what I can see from the other teenage dragons, it does seem to be the most common type.

I decided to have him still be a ""teenager"" (Almost an adult, but not quite) even when his younger sister had reached adulthood. The reason was that in the show they always refer to him as a baby dragon, despite being what I imagine to be about the cmc's age, if not older. While he does act more mature, this could be because of him having to take more responsibility, being raised by Twilight. So, my headcanon is that dragons age a lot more slowly than ponies do, taking years to grow from baby to child. Getting wings is the point dragons no longer consider you a baby, and you are expected to start living alone. You're still being considered a child in terms of sexual and mental maturity, but dragons value independence a lot more than ponies, and make their childen fend for themselves to toughen them up. But since Spike is raised by ponies, they still consider him a child in legal terms and he's therefore the ward of Twilight until actual dragon adulthood. He's pretty upset over this, seeing ponies younger than him being considered adults while he's stuck as a teenager until he's fourty or so years old.
