So, I spent a lot of hours this weekend working on this, probably equal amounts on the art and the animation. My first time making an animated painting like this! I love the outcome, it's better than I expected. I've only ever done anything like this once, using a photo of the historic March 30, 2017 SpaceX SES-10 launch at LC-39A (Sorry, had to space nerd for a second. I mean, it was the first EVER reuse of an orbital class booster!!).
