Not Good Enough

"I'm sorry!" I cry, more to myself than to her. How could she not see that I was not good enough for her? Why would she want to waste her time comforting me endlessly? I can't stand to see her so hurt by my inability to be positive. I always bring her down, when she deserves to be so high up. I break away from her with the intent to leave her alone, at least for now. She deserves better. I say it again, "I'm sorry…"

I don't know what happened here. What is consistency? What is stylization? What are backgrounds?

Back to the "painting" thing. I prefer it for some reason. Give each character their own layer, and one for the background. Simpler. Need to keep trying different things. Eventually I'll get used to one of them.
