My wing type headcanons (again)

FS- Fluttershy has long slender wings made for gliding on air currents, these are common in sea birds who rely on ocean winds to soar for long periods of time. She also has large claws on each, it doesn’t take this wing type to have claws, Fluttershy just has the combination of both traits. Her wings are also very waterproof and good for swimming.

RD- Rainbow Dash has small lightweight wings and feathers made for quick takeoff, speedy turns and sudden stops. Her feathers are very stiff allowing her to maintain high speed for long periods of time. This wing type is seen on many kinds of small birds like Swallows and Martins.

Twi- Twilight (along with the other princesses) has raptor like wings, They are strong and wide wings with wing slots made to catch thermal air. This allows her to fly higher and soar longer than non-alicorn ponies. Twilights wings are similar to Hawks of the Buteo family, who have tipped feathers that look “sharp”. Raptor wing type belongs only to alicorns.
