Someone pointed out at the last second that the previous page went live on July 28th, the same day I launched Friendship is Dragons five years ago.

Incredible.

Even more incredible that I wrote that page, scheduled it, and let the update pass by without remembering such an important day, but them's the breaks. It's… an uncertain time, real-life-wise, and when you work on a project all by yourself that has a strict schedule, you don't exactly set up a calendar for it.

Still. Five years. I guess that puts Friendship is Dragons firmly in the category of "long-running webcomic." Strange to think about.

I have no idea how to celebrate (feel free to suggest ideas), but for the moment, how about share some of your favorite parts of the comic? Allow me this one precious second of nostalgic vanity.

DM: Well, <ahem> uh, so, in about an hour, with Fluttershy and Seabreeze's guidance, the bees gather an appreciable amount of pollen.
Twilight Sparkle: Won't we need somepony to carry it all the way to their hollow?
Applejack: I'm not too sure about one of us splitting up…
DM: Actually, none of you need to go. A blonde gray pegasus has just volunteered for the job. It's the same pegasus, you might recall, from a certain apple bobbing pool from the Nightmare Night session…

Twilight Sparkle: So if that's settled, how long does it take to brew up our potion?
DM: Aw, c'moooon.
