"Guys, I can't believe we did it! Sweet Celestia!"
"I'm Pinkie Pie and you asked me so much to do a video of bathtub! And in this video I'll do something few ponies have the courage (and money) to do: take a bath… with Chocotella! Chocotella bath is so crazy, you asked it for who? For Pinkie, of course! And I'm here to fulfill this challenge! I want this to be the biggest video in my channel! 500K of thumbsup! 500K is the goal for this video! And if you're new in the channel, leave your thumbsup, subscribe, because many awesome videos are coming! Now, let's cut to the fun!"
Pinkie Pie. You're so random.
She's a bit out of character here, but this is to give you an idea of something I would like to discuss about.
This drawing was based in this video (if you're looking for dumb humor, of course.) :

Specifically, in its thumbnail:

Before those advertisement scandals involving Youtube and the change of rules, videos in Youtube were prioritized by number of thumbsup/thumbsdown as well for the total number of views. The more of them, the more a Youtuber could earn money. Now, consider how people in Brazil value low-quality stuff, butts, people getting bad luck, even degrading stuff, most of them the same things they use to see in TV, and you have the recipe to earn easy money and fame. Or you could use bots, but this isn't the case.
Meet Luccas Neto (the guy in the links), an Youtuber who happens to be brother of the (still) famous Youtuber Teen here, Felipe Neto. There was a time when Felipe used to be against the political correctness and critique everything he wanted to while his brother used to critique Youtubers who used low tactics to earn views and likes, therefore money.
But as both became more and more popular, and earning money with Youtube (not entirelly with it, though), once again the "certain people do unbelievable things for money" history applies here. Both of them are of what you expect from a Youtuber Teen: bland, popular people who aim to please everyone in order to earn views. Basically this describes Felipe Neto nowadays, someone who's more concerned with dumb stuff than to inform people about some harsh truths and making them wake up from Matrix.
As for Luccas Neto, from someone who used to critique Youtubers Teen to… well, one of them now. He's willing to do everything for money. Basically he sells his dignity to please his fans… And the money. And even breaking Youtube's rules, like using non-related tags in his videos (most of the time linking to more famous channels like PewDiePie to famous companies like Disney) for a while before removing them.
In the video in question, Luccas takes 80kg of Nutella and take a bath with them in his bathtub. Perhaps this is one of the lowest points in his life, as, in some scenes, you could think he has… Some problems? Well, you can actually get some laughs from this video, this is undeniable.
But there are so many reasons of why this is all wrong. Luccas became the very thing he used to critique, all for the money's sake, clearly hypocrisy; Luccas selling his dignity all the time, again, for money and fame; He's not helping Youtube getting any better, for sure; But perhaps the worst thing of all of this is the damage he does not only for himself, but also for the people who follow him. Remember, he's popular, many watch him, and many like this sort of stuff. He's helping making kids and others even dumber posting such stuff. And EVEN worse, inspiring people to be like him, inspiring children to, instead to prepare themselves to get a job or working by themselves in the future, to be a Youtuber and post no-sense stuff, to earn money and fame.
All of this, of course, isn't entirelly Luccas fault. He's far from being innocent, of course, but MANY Youtubers (at least here) tend to do the same, if not worse than him. All of this contributing to make the viewers dumber, and even deceived of an easy life of a Youtuber Teen, aiming to become as superficial as them.
As for this drawing, maybe I should have used another character. I mean, you expect this sort of stuff from Pinkie Pie, how many times she embarrasses herself to make others laugh? Well, unlike Luccas (and unlike in this drawing), Pinkie is more concerned with the well-being of her friends and people near her than petty things like money and fame. If I drew Rarity, it would make more sense, someone less nonsense if compared with Pinkie, has a bigger reputation than her and she's more materialistic. The question is, would SHE sell her dignity like that, end in public and ruining her whole reputation? She would be crying and desperate for weeks, even months, crying about her life shattered after that.
Well, regardless, thank you for the attention and I really hope you enjoy the drawing. I really wish to do more vintage drawings soon as well continue my projects. Sometimes it's good to draw something simpler, for fun.
