I'm sure you remember these two from page 4?Back then I wanted to make two original Equestrian ponies and I thought a pony with a dandelion theme would be cute (with the bun'd mane and tail combo) as well as a water themed pony.So I made those two. I was still learning how to draw ponies and as you can see, my skills were a bit….lacking (at least in my opinion)So since i created the adoptables (Which I plan on resubmitting for adoption soon), I decided to revamp these two while I am in this pony making mood! So I give to you the new and VERY MUCH improved Dandelion and MarinaDandelion: Her bangs was too generic in the original one and a stripe of color in her mane is common. I wanted to change it a bit and make it look fluffly like a normal dandelion. So the inner two colors gives that illusion of fluff. I also gave her bow ties that gives the illusion of leaves and added markings on her ear and hooves. I image her to be originally from Ponyvillie with a green thumb for plants and the like. Which means means she doesn't mind the dirt.Marina: This is the one that had the MOST changes (To a point where she doesn't resemble her original form whatsoever (aside from the coloration) She lacked anything that resembled a "water themed pony" other than the water drop cutie mark. Rarity was a big inspiration. I wanted to have her mane and tail resemble waves in an ocean. Also, because of her "know-it-all" attitude in the comic, I also wanted to make she seemed a little more posh. So I gave her Canterlot unicorn eyes (and also made her a unicorn). Her cutiemark changed too to fit with the theme of waves (like her hair) instead of the dripping of water. Because of her love for water, she specializes in caring and maintaining marine life. Originally Marina was supposed to be from Canterlot, but because of her occupation, I wanted to put her in a place that is near a coastal place. So San Franciscolt came to mind .I hope you guys enjoy the remodels. I am pleased with them. They may or may not re appear…who knows.
