Lycaena
Paingel, Brood Brat [by Moonstone]
Family: Thorax [father], Miyama [mother], At least 70-100 other brood mates
Voice: High pitched like Minnie Mouse
Special talent: Fisticuffs, Biting and Being a terror

Lycaena is one of many children Thorax and Miyama have and she's neither the oldest, youngest, most impressive visually or even terribly intelligent. However, she is the most aggressive in her colony bordering on feral. Lycaena may not be in line for the throne but in the future she is an aggressive sentry training under her uncle Pharynx
For now she likes to start trouble and attack people quite simply to get a rise out of them.

Thorax and Miyama treats all 100 of their direct spawns equally but Lycaena is a bit more energy to keep an eye on.
Though she's technically training, most of the time she doesn't help the hive to prosper and instead likes to goof off and spread mayhem.
She likes to fight whether verbal or physically and has booped Thorax on the snoot numerous time.

Out of her all her 100 siblings, she's received the most time-outs, sometimes 20 a day.

She's often chewed out and berated by her elder cousin Moonstone, whom she despises with a burning wrath.

Voice: Elegant and calm but she can switch in a pinch
Special talent: Problem-solving, diplomacy and physically asserting dominance if pushed
Lycaena: "Sounding condescending without much effort, judging people, nagging"

Moonstone is a stand out prodigy and is adored by her parents.
While she's not aggressive normally, she isn't a pushover. She can quickly switch between sympathetic reasoner and violent superior with little provocation
She spends most of her time in the Dragon Lands with her parents but often travels to help tutor Thorax's brood to find a suitable deputy for the Changeling Hive in case anything happens to Thorax. As such, she often butts heads with her greatest annoyance, her cousin Lycaena.
While most creatures are deterred by her occasional displays of dominance, Lycaena is another story. She's equally as aggressive so physical restraint doesn't work. This aggravates Moonstone greatly and she loathes her little cousin.




Side note: I was going to draw the brother of Lycaena who is in line for the throne but he isn't super interesting and his development isn't important in the present. If you're really interested don't worry. I'm working on a picture that includes him and most of Lycaena's siblings [as well as poor Moonstone]
