Serena Dash is the eldest daughter of Rainbow Dash and Soarin.

You can say that she is not the winning and competitive daughter she was expecting, but she certainly has many of the characteristic traits of her mother. Serena is very competitive, even if it is not in the field of racing or sports. She does not accept defeat, at least not easily. She likes to have everything under control and the things that escape from this make her very nervous and irritable, without doubt she is someone very controlling. Serena is not exactly cheerful or lively, except when she is near her friend Sakura, Fluttershy's daughter, whom she met in a flight camp.

At the moment she occupies the position of head manager in the Weather Factory, although she could continue ascending, she prefers to be in direct contact with the employees, since that way it is easier to her to watch everything that everypony does at any moment. Despite her early age she was quickly promoted, so her subordinates now thought it would be easy for them to handle her at will so they could take her work calmly. They definitely did not know Serena. Her obsession with work and to make it perfect is the daily ordeal of her employees, although luckily she knows how to reward the job well done with a good vacation. She is very strict but she knows that without her employees and their work she could do nothing.

Sakura was on a course more advanced than she but they made crumbs at once. It was Sakura who helped her with her flying problems. She's the only pony whose company really enjoys. Although Serena's usually very independent, her happiness is closely linked to the time spent with Sakura. Serena is 100% in love with Sakura and enjoys to kiss her since it makes her feel kinda uncomfortable. It seems that Euli, Sakura's little sister, admires her, though she's not really interested in kids, their kinda annoying. The same with Skipper, Scotaloo's daugther. Serena pretends she enjoys their comapny, but seh doesn't. At least they are not much annoying. She met most of Sakura's once she visited Ponyville just to see Sakura. Her biggest romantic enemy is Okey, Pinkie's son and Sakura's best friend. Her best friend spend a lot of time talking about him and they spend a lot of time together. It was really painfull for her when Sakura introduced Okey as "her best friend", "in Ponyville", Serena added. Polaroid is another poni of those that bother her, he just keep flirting with her and she hates it.

Serena does not have much appreciation for the rest of the ponies, not even her relatives. Her relationship with her parents is not very close actually. Although she lives in her parent's house, she makes them accept a payment for the rent of her room. Serena's currently searching for a new home, she wants independence desperately. She is annoyed that her grandparents are constantly encouraging her, they are very scandalous, luckily they focus more on her little brother than on her. Possibly her little brother is the one who gives her most of her headaches. Max usually goes into her room without asking permission in order to seek some of her attention. His poor attempts are always frustrated because Serena always ends up shouting to him to leave, sometimes without him having time to open his mouth. Still he always comes back for more. Serena admires his determination, but she wishes he'd do something else but bother her.
