Tree Hugger is an enigma of an Earth Pony from the moment you meet her. Her unusual speech patterns are slow and unfocused. The hairstyle she wears is one of a kind. Tree’s rather…unique aroma means her friends smell her before she arrives. The way Tree Hugger carries herself can be called relaxing to some and irritating to others. Fluttershy met Tree Hugger during one of the Warrior of Lights’ missions, and since then have been meeting in Ponyville at seemingly random intervals.
No one, not even Fluttershy, knows where exactly Tree Hugger hails from. She was visiting the same place by coincidence. The Earth pony also pops up in the major cities the Warriors visit carrying the latest rare plants and berries she’s harvested. None of the mares question it since some of the herbs she supplies can heal even the most obscure illnesses and curses. What they do question is how she acquire these herbs. Some of these herbs only appear in remote and very dangerous areas, and Tree Hugger, despite being asked on many occasions to join the Warriors’ cause, insists she’s not a fighter. She goes on to tell them it's only because she’s so in sync with nature and beasts due to her chakras that they treat her as they would a passing breeze. Applejack often scoffs at her use of the word chakra.
The Earth Pony has no real ties to any town or city, so she considers herself a nomad of sorts collecting herbs and berries on her travels. Selling her accumulated goods is how she finances her journey. Very quickly her friends, the Warriors of Light and Darkness, became her best customers. They could even ask for specific type of good and she would keep an eye out for it. She’s even worked with Zecora to make potions and learn about new plants she can harvest.
Applewood Scythe — A gardening scythe given by Fluttershy made from Applewood from the Apple family farm. She was using a pair of shears alone beforehand, and while it still sees use for precision, the scythe gathers more at once.
Flowery Cap — A simple flower print hat she acquired during her travels. When asked if she washes it, they’re often met with her slow giggling, but she never actually responds.
