When creating the main characters in my project MANNULUS. After i had done with the three Moosin, Camilia and Fort, I felt like something is missing. Hmmm… Ah yes! A quirky character. So I tried to think about it; what theme should I go for this character? It has to less unoriginal as much as possible.
I came up with the idea of creating a sorta like anime-visual-gag-comic-relief character, sounds ridiculous, right? But it worked, it looks much better than what I expected at first. He's basically a parody of a lot of mainstream animes where the male protagonists are flimsy and being a tryhard. Then I went on designing him.
At first I drew him as some sort of anime fucc boi, but he didn't fit in with the team so I scraped it. The next design I came up is the typical naruto look-alike for a change. I was quite contented with that design. Until I look at one of Tysontan's (one of my favorite digital artist) work and something suddenly pierced my mind. It seems that girly boys is currently a thing now. I kinda wanted to have a take on that subject to see how it'd turns out. This picture here is his current design completed with actual work on pallet color combinations. I was quite satisfied.
His story will be revealed later.
