One would have never imagined Royal Splendor being a guest at a strip club. Roy himself wouldn’t have imagined it in a million years. Yet here he was, inside the Saddle Shredder strip club, surrounded by loud music and alcohol and everything else he found revolting. He was here, albeit reluctantly, to support his daughter.
“There we go Dad, front row seats!” Amy seated him down right in front of the stage and set their purses on the seat next to him. “Wait here while I go talk to the girls.”
Roy fidgeted nervously in his seat, taking in his surroundings until a tap on his shoulder half-scared the wits out of him.
“Relax, boy!” The bartender crooned. “Amy’s dad, right? Can I get you a drink?”
Roy nodded, still trying to regain his composure. “I’ll have some water, please.”

The lights had dimmed and the show was starting. Amy had come back to her seat, taking a break from hyping and narrating to let the dancers and music speak for themselves. She wanted to be there to enjoy it with her dad.
With Roy clutching his glass of water and Amy holding her own virgin piña colada, they sat back and watched as the music started and Bedbug and two other mares came on stage and began to put on an interpretive dance. There was no ass-shaking or pole-licking, it was so clean even a class of schoolfoals could watch it. Just perfect for Roy.
“See that?” Amy pointed out. “It’s like they’re a house of cards!”
“Why is Bedbug shaking her butt like that?”
Amy looked up and caught Bedbug starting to get a little too into it, gesturing wildly until the dancer noticed and continued on normally.
As the night continued on and the girls put on more dances, Roy began to visibly perk up and enjoy the show more, even tapping his hoof to the music at some points. Once she knew her dad was having fun, Amy broke off to meet up with Bedbug at the sidelines.
“So he’s finally cool with you doing this?”
“Yep!” Amy nodded. “We had a long talk about it, but he’s okay with it now. Though we might have to start doing monthly kids’ nights so he doesn’t freak out about it being vulgar all the time,” she joked.
“Yeah, we’ll see about that,” Bedbug smirked. “Have ya told him about the baby yet?”
“No,” Amy chuckled, looking between her dad and her own swelling belly. “He’s been through enough already. I’ll save that heart attack for another day.”
