[Hazy strolls down the street, humming a tune to himself.]

???: Yo, little prince!

Hazy: [Flinchs and looks around. His eyes stop on an empty spot. Sighs.] Hyde.

Hyde: Sup. The mistress wants to talk to you.

Hazy: N-now? [Looks around nervously. No pony has noticed him but they will eventually. Starts whispering.] Hyde, you asshole, you can't do this! Contacting me in public like this? I'll look crazy.

Hyde: You never cared before.

Hazy: That was before. Things are different now. I'm different now.

Hyde: …I see. It has been a while, hasn't it, little prince? Miss us?

Hazy: [Rolls eyes] You? Never. But I have missed my lessons with the WiTcH DoCtOr. She hasn't called on me in months. I've almost gotten bored here.

Hyde: The mistress has been busy. More importantly, do you answer her call?

Hazy: Of course I do. What kind of student would I be to refuse my mentors call?

Hazy is a strange stallion. He is proficient in magic despite never learning formally and his specialty is magic never really before seen. This is partly why Twilight adopted him in the first place. Where he learned this magic in a village of earth ponies is a mystery to all but the stallion himself.

On this day, he gets a summons from his mentors familiar, Hyde. A member of a long since extinct race, Hyde has few companions and even fewer friends. Hazy is not one of them but he is his masters student so he must work diligently.
