In this scene, Celestia has just retired to her room late at night to find her daughter curled up in her bed. She was awake and was use to her mother working into the late hours of the night. Celestia didn't realize just how much she didn't spend time with Ambrosia until this night.
Ambrosia's ears perked up as she looked over to see her mother walking into the large bedroom. "M-Mom" She smiled and sat up on her hind quarters and smiled softly. Her mane was a mess and falling in her face and down her neck some. Even though Celestia wasn't around too much, she couldn't help but smile and sit down next to her. "Ambrosia, what in Equestria happened to your mane?"
The small filly smiled softly and looked up at her mother. "Kami and I were playing in the library, and then went out and raced around the garden! Kami also showed me some cool flowers that we have in the garden, one of them actually exploded…." She paused and giggled slightly and looked down.
Celestia smiled softly and moved behind her daughter. "Well, I'm not too good at braiding, but maybe I can give it a try?" The filly looked up at her and smiled softly. "Y-Yeah sure! I'd like that" The filly sat up and let her mane fall back slightly. Celestia looked at it for a moment and smiled softly, before using her hooves to separate her mane into three sections. She didn't really know what to do after that but she'd seen Twilight interacting with her own daughter, and tried to remember. It took a few tries before Celestia managed to braid the first part a little bit, and saw a few strands of mane sticking out. She wasn't very good at this but if it made Ambrosia happy she'd try to finish it out to the end.
The mare paused and smiled softly. "I'm sorry, I'm not very good at braiding…" Ambrosia smiled and nodded. "It's okay~ Maybe you can practice a little more…well…whenever you get the chance…" Celestia smiled and wrapped her hooves around her daughter and hugged her close. "I'll make time for you, how about that? I'm sorry I haven't been here very much…" Ambrosia smiled and snuggled up to her mother. "I love you, Mom~"
