With Sunset Shimmer Day of Equestria Daily approaching (and the birthday of a friend who is a great fan of Sunset Shimmer ;)) I wanted to make a chalk drawing of her.
So when the weather yesterday turned out much better than than the forecast predicted Empyrean Dreamer and I set out to do some chalk drawing. Since the table tennis table of the playground we have been drawing on frequently is rather small, we wanted search for a different spot that would allow for some larger chalk drawings. On the way to another playground I was so absorbed in talking about politics (upcoming election over here) that I might not have noticed a really excellent large place of smooth an dark tarmac that was perfect for our purpose. Luckily Empyrean Dreamer was there to draw my attention to it ;)

When drawing Sunset Shimmer, it has been very helpful that during my recent trip to Prague to visit the awesome Czequestria I could purchase a lot of chalk of much more intense colors than I have found available over here so far. You can find those colors in her mane and tail.
Maybe she just teleported where she is standing now in a column of magic fire (hence the sooty ring around her and the scorched patch) or maybe she just got really angry about some brony refering to her as "Sushi" (is that nickname used by bronies elsewhere same as here in Germany?).

This is a color intensified photo of her I also uploaded a regular color and a black and white version.
Unfortunately as the sun was getting ready to set there was also rain setting in, reminding us of the short lived nature of chalk drawings. Here is an image of Chalk Sunset Shimmer showing the first droplets of rain on her coat.
