Since Arcane Rune considers his magical power to be lacking, he researched and found alternate ways to increase it. He would spend countless nights in the Canterlot library reading dusty tomes and spellbooks. He is open to different options from runic sigils to magic-enhancing amulets. He doesn't really care if he has to use dark magic to achieve his goal. He often repeats to himself that he isn't interested in power or ambition- he just wants to be a powerful archmage.

He is adept at spells involving fiery, showy display. He finds it one of the easiest spells to cast.

He liked having tea parties as a colt. He has an impressive tea set collection. Arcane has a goofy and fun side, but he hides that because he thinks it's childish and foolish.
(His magical aura is red because of residual influence from Trixie using the Alicorn Amulet in the past.)
He refers to himself in the third person when he's upset, tired, or trying to make a point.
