Considering of pairing up a Strawhat Pirate with a MLP character, place Nami with Rarity as Rarity tries her "hoof" at designing a dress for a human. Given Nami's history as a thief, pirate, and an opportunist to make some money, she would love the fact Rarity adorns her outfits with gemstones. While Nami's does like to go to expensive boutiques, try on lavish clothes but doesn't purchase them due to wanting something more casual, maybe Rarity's dressmaking skills will make an exception.
