Astral Haze grew up hearing praises from her close family to random strangers, and it initially gave her confidence and motivated her to do her best.
But after countless reiterations and judging looks, Astral started to instead feel a lot of pressure and anxiety. She constantly feels that she has to meet the expectations of everyone, and is exceedingly afraid of screwing things up. She came to realize later on that she shouldn’t care so much about being perfect, but she still feels a need to be an exemplary example as an heir of royalty. Astral doesn’t have a desire to follow her mother’s hoofsteps, so she reached a compromise and decided to be known for something she accomplished herself. Hence, she immerses herself in her studies to advance Equestria and bring some sort of commendable contribution for the future.
