Yet another set of My Little Pony: Next Gens! This time, the kids of Lightning Dust and Rainbow Dash! I like the idea of Lightning Dust having a crush on Rainbow Dash after learning humility and true loyalty from her and in turn, Lightning shaping up morally and becoming closer friends with her made Rainbow Dash return those feelings.

The two have homes in both Cloudsdale and Ponyville and they spend the children's school year in Cloudsdale and summers/vacations in Ponyville. Rainbow Dash runs a standing Pegasi flight squad in Ponyville and flies over for work, Lightning Dust is an active Wonderbolt. (Rainbow Dash was once one but the appeal faded with time and decided to take a leadership role with her hometown Pegasi, she didn't mind Lightning Dust staying on as a Wonderbolt and goes to every show she can.)

Special talent: 'Air Guitar': musical stunt shows where she trick flies and plays with her band all at once. Like Rarity, her talent is technically something else— (fast/stylish trick flying) but she has combined her passion and her natural talents to do something she loves.
Nickname(s): Firefly (stage name), Lightning/Lighty, Buggy and Bug.
Age: 21 years old.

Personality/Background: Lightning Bug is vivacious, loud and 'rock n' roll to the core! She's a gifted flyer but is not really into flight competition, rather focusing on performance. She and her band: Firefly and the Rockin' Beats absolutely love putting on a show and making ponies feel their music!

Lightning is very cool-headed, in a way her parents are not— she's still quite cocky and confident but she's much more secure in herself and it's hard to make her feel like anything less than a star. This can be her undoing because often, it seems like she's haughty, cold and it really comes across like she thinks she's better than everyone else but true friends know how loyal and friendly she is and she often does anything to help her friends.

She's also a super protective big sister and she absolutely loves her tiny twin siblings, when they get older they can be annoyed by how protective and doting she is but it's well-meaning and mostly harmless.

Wanderlust
"Sunny, grab some birdseed, a barrel of maple syrup, some of Buggy's fireworks and a trombone and meet me at the edge of the Everfree Forest!"

Nickname(s): Wander, Wanda, Mini-Me (Grandma Firefly).
Age: 9 — 10 years old.

Personality/Background: Wanda is a brash, reckless and mischievous little filly who also happens to be as smart as a tack! … Of course, at her age that basically means that she schemes weekly and she and Thunder Dash are often getting into trouble and she has to try and get out of it. Doesn't stop her from doing the same thing the next time she has an impulse. She's fun and hyper and though she brings trouble, ponies still love her.

When she's not getting into trouble, playing with her brother or eating ice cream, she's rather quiet, studying the birds that fly around Cloudsdale or Ponyville and taking little notes and drawing them, collecting every detail, mimicking every song and being absolutely fascinated. She'll often sneak into the Castle Library and dart into the animal section to read about bird anatomy and traits or she spends time with Auntie Fluttershy learning how to heal them and gaining some bird like flight traits (she angles her chest forward when flying and she lands gently on her tiptoes when she descends , she also whistles while she flies and cooes when she's getting scratches near her wings or getting her mane groomed by somepony)

Thunder Dash
"Wanda?! How am I supposed to get a whole barrel of maple syrup to the other side of town?! W-why do we need Buggy's fireworks? When did you learn to play the trombone?! WA-WANDA?!?! AWWWWWW, HERE IT GOES."

Species: Earth Pony (he has a similar contraption that lifts up their pet Tank to put on his back to allow him to fly and walk on clouds (he can do so but only with the helicopter on because it makes him lighter on his hooves allowing him to channel his latent pegasi magic) when they're in Cloudsdale)
Special talent: Land Racing (one of the few Pegasus traits he possesses is a speed trail that looks like a bright burst of thunder)
Nickname(s): Dash/Dashie, Thund-y, Sunny (family and closest friends)
Age: 9 — 10 years old

Personality/Background: Thunder Dash is the 'shy guy' to Wanda's 'energetic girl', he often goes along with her schemes out of love and twin loyalty but he doesn't always like where her plans go.

He is a sweetheart and he has a good reason to be shy— as the only earth pony in a family of pegasi, he often feels insecure with how he doesn't have wings and he has to rely on a contraption on his back to even live with them sometimes but he keeps it quiet and understands why they do it. His family never realize his feelings but they try their best to be loving and supportive of their sweet and adorable kin. He loves his family dearly and he's always cheering at Lightning's shows, his parents stunt performances and everything his twin does!

He loves racing and even though he cannot be a Wonderbolt, he eventually finds a racing team of his own that he falls in love with and his family cheers make him feel more confident!
