First operated in the late 1890s' for the mining community in the city of Katoomba, Australia, it was converted for tourism in 1945. Featured in this image is the Mountain Devil. In 2013 the cars were upgraded.
The steepest incline reaches 52 degrees, making it the steepest incline railway in the world.
