Recently there was an art contest about who would become the official artist for the GalaCon 2018. I decided to cast my hat in the ring and while I didn't win (given the really brilliant artists who participated anything else would have been a huge surprise) it was a lot of fun to participate.

Congratulations to DarkSittich for becoming the new ConArtist of the GalaCon. I'm looking forward to see the GalaCon art of an amazing artists whose work I have admired on a German brony forum before

The second task for the contest was to create a draft for an image to be printed on a T-shirt showing the mascots Sani Soda and Wachmann in a Santa's helpers kind of outfit and optionally including the GalaCon's main mascot Canni Soda. It was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun to make this image.
I included Cani Soda in Santa outfit (without a beard which would have looked really strange, especially with the mostly whitish snow background) laughing her head off, probably about the "Rudolphed" Wachmann pulling the sleigh and looking somewhat unamused about it. Sani on the seat of the sleigh seems to be a bit uncertain about how she ended up wearing a cap with a bell… was that in the work contract?
I put a lot of effort into a sleigh with horseshoe shaped skids and the main body of the sleigh being supported by more horseshoes emblazoned with the cutie marks of the elements of harmony (those of Fluttershy and Rarity are almost completely covered though), while the figureheads and "wings" of the sleigh give credit to the Royal sisters.
Since this was to be a draft for a T-Shirt print, artists participating in the contest also had to submit a preview of what it would look like on a T-Shirt. Here are said previews on some different colors: black, navy, denim blue.
Special thanks go to redhatbrony and BOB-FINNSKI, both of whom gave me very helpful constructive criticism to improve the image before I completed it
