- Clarity is the first born twin to Fancy Pants and Rarity. Despite only being a few minutes older than her twin sister, Charity, she likes to think of herself as the more "mature" one, and watched over Charity as they grew up together.

- When her parents divorced, Clarity was devasted. Although her sister was there to comfort her, Clarity still felt like their break up was somehow her fault.. Even though it was just time drifting the two apart from each other.

- Often following her mother around, Clarity learned how to hunt for gems like her, and became intrigued in their beauty watching her add them to her dresses. Stitching wasn't exactly Clarity's thing, but she knew she loved the gems. So she found her own passion; Jewelry.
With her help, Rarity was able to add even more beautiful gems and jewelry to her outfits.

- Due to stareing into a magnifying glass to work on intricate jewelry most of her life after discovering her passion, Clarity ended up becoming near-sighted; resulting in the need for glasses. She sometimes wear contacts, but only during special events or outings.

- Like her mother, and unlike Charity, Clarity does not like getting dirty and loves going to "Mother-Daughter Spa Day".

- Throughout her life, Clarity had an admirer by the name of Pureblood. (Son of Blueblood and Trixie) whom she liked as a friend, but never saw any romantic interest in. Unlike his rude and arrogant father, Pureblood was a polite stallion, and never tried to push anything against Clarity. One day a young colt by the name of Confetti Popper overheard Pureblood getting rejected again, and felt bad for him. Wishing to find a way to help him, Popper came up with a form of "love spell" (An actual spell, not a potion). Despite the stories he heard in the past, he was able to rope in Rainboom (Daughter of Soarin and Rainbow Dash) and Snowflake. (Daughter of Bulk Biceps and Fluttershy) As usual, the spell worked; a bit too well. This spell led to Clarity becoming intoxicated by Pureblood, and inviting him to "spend the night." This, of course, resulted in Clarity becoming pregnant with her own daughter; later to be named Celestine.

- After the birth of Celestine, Clarity and Pureblood grew closer as friends; but did not become a couple. With shared custody, Pureblood and Clarity took turns taking care of their daughter.

- Clarity is very protective of Celestine. (Hence her Element again; Protection) Although the maturnal instinct is strong in all mothers, its even more powerful in Clarity. Until Celeste was old enough to talk up for herself, Clarity wouldn't even let others touch her.. Even when Pureblood picked her up, Clarity felt nervous, and it took everything in her not to just snatch Celestine back right out of his hooves.
