Aventurine Shimmer was playing by herself, trying to chose which doll she would crown the princess of Rose kingdom when she heard the front door slam closed. She jumped, letting her magic fall and drop her dolls. At first, she thought it might be an intruder, since slamming doors was a no-no in their home. But as she listened out for anymore sounds, she noticed the faint mutterings of her mother.

"Ma!?" She whispered, opening the door just as Diamond stomped by. Ava kept out of sight as she passed, noting her expression. She was mad. And whenever mama was mad, she went looking for Papa. But papa wasn't here right now. He was at work. Which made Diamond even more frustrated as she paced the floor.

"Great! Just what I need!" She growled as she stomped into her office. "An entire town full of idiots who can't even organize a simple meeting without my holding their hooves and yet Snails is off, doing whatever in tartarus he does!" The door slammed closed, making Ava flinch.

Mama was really mad. Papa said it was because her job was really stressful and she needed to 'vent' sometimes. Ava didn't get it too much but she did know that papa had prepared her for such a situation as this. She tiptoed out her room and trotted into the kitchen.

Diamond sat in her office, resting her head against her desk. She sighed. She was still pissed off. Nothing could get calm her down. Not the punching bag she hid in her closet, not the candies Snails had 'forgotten' in her drawer. She still felt all kinds of pissed. She scowled at the jawbreaker in her hooves.

"Snails…" She muttered sadly. She missed her husband, though she'd never tell him that to his face. He'd just smile and say something stupid like 'i missed you too' or 'I love you too.' Still, she wished she had someone to vent to. Silver was busy dealing with her own things and the CMC were the source of much (about 60%) of her stress. So that only left snails, "who isn't here…" She grumbled.

"Mama!?" A voice called out just before the door to her office slid open. Letting out a breath, Diamond lifted her head with the intention of scolding her daughter about knocking when the smell of hot chocolate filled the air. The little unicorn held a steaming cup of hot choco with her magic and carefully carried it her mom. With visible effort, Ava gently placed the cup on her desk, smiling at the accomplishment.

"Hot chocolate?" She said, not sure what to make of this.

"From scratch with lots of sugar and a pigde of cinnamon." Ava replied, staring at Diamond from the edge of her desk. Diamond smiled as she took the cup into her hooves. Just like Snails makes it.

Another pic that's been sitting in my folder for a while.

Diamond has come home after a long LONG day at work dealing with the stupidity that is the townsfolk of Ponyville. While she has reformed into being a nicer pony, she still has anger issues and tends to come off as scary to most. On days like this, she would usually come and snuggle up with her hubbie, Snails, as she lets go of all her stress by venting all her frustrations into words. Very vocal and vulgar words that disparage any name included in the rant. All the while, Snails would brew her a special cup of hot chocolate for her to sip on.

Today however, Snails isn't around so it's up to Ava to do it. While Ava isn't any good at making the hot chocolate, it's the thought that counts, right?

Note: I noticed that Diamond Tiara really likes chocolate. In both the bab seed and the super party pony song, whenever she shows up, she's eating chocolate. Silver seems to like it too though she only shown once eating chocolate.
