Name: (Dame) Cygnet Pirouette
Nicknames: Cygnet, Swannie
Age: Adult
Height: Tall
Weight: Average
Species: Earth pony
Special Talent: Dancing
Occupation(s): Retired ballet dancer. Now a dance instructor
Location: Manehatten

Cygnet is an older earth pony mare who's special talent is dancing. She comes from a long line of ballet dancers.
Cygnet lived with her mother and father as a foal in Canterlot and started ballet at a very young age. She enjoyed ballet but wanted to try more modern versions of dance. Her parents, at first, were against this break in family tradition but eventually agreed to let her attend dance school in Manehatten.
Cygnet learned many different kinds of dance, her favorites of which include contemporary, ribbon and belly dancing.

As a young adult, Cygnet performed in a number of ballets and other dance performances.
Now that she is older, she is a teacher at Manehatten's performing arts centre. Many of her students, as well as a few of her colleges refer to her as Dame Pirouette in acknowledgment to her skills as a dancer. (She always insists that 'just Cygnet is fine.')

Cygnet is very fond of her class and will often call them, collectively, her 'gaggle' and individually, 'duckie.'
The ribbon in her tail was the ribbon that she most often used in her dancing. She now wears it as a token of her past life and tells her class that it will bring good luck. She usually takes it off and passes it around her gaggle before a performance.
