- Jet Streak is the second born and only son of Soarin and Rainbow Dash. Like his mother, Jet is a very confident and even arrogant pony, more so than Rainbow perhaps. Although he has his moments, for the most part he struts around like a pompous fool, but for good reason. He is fast like his parents before him, so knowing he's good at flying just adds to his headstrongness.

- However, when Jet was a colt, he was actually a bit nervous of flying. Unlike his sister Aura, he hd a bit of trouble taking off the first few times. Soarin would help try to edge Jet into learning to fly by nudging him off a cliff.. This resulted in many rescue missions, but they didn't mind. Eventually he learned to conquer his fear, open his wings and soar, flying with the wind and watching as everything he flew past bended in his wake.. And he never looked back.

- Growing up his best friend was Dart (Son of Bulk Biceps and Fluttershy), despite him always wanting to hang out with Aura Shine instead of him. He had ways of persuading Dart to hang outn with him instead, or he would just forcefully tag along with Aura and Dart together. As they got older though and Jet saw the relationship forming, he gave them their space and tried finding new ponies to hang out with.. But he never really made a true best friend after Dart.

- Like his parents before him, his dream is to be a Wonderbolt. He loved attending his parents' tours and watching and listening to all the ponies cheering their names and showing admiration. Jet loved everything about it and so applied to Wonderbolt Academy. Rainbow was ecstatic to have a child who wanted to follow in her hooves, well, and Soarin's hooves. But mostly hers.

- Due to his vanity and confident bravado, he is also a natural flirt. He swings both ways, so he'll flirt with just about anypony.

- In his spare time when he's not training to be a Wonderbolt, he's at the Weather factory helping his sister. He likes clearing the clouds and creating wind storms, but Aura has to keep him in place sometimes; Seeing as he almost created a hurricane once producing high speed winds to test his flying limitations in.
