Due to the constant comparison to a grandmother that she never met, Pear Jam made it her mission in life to try to live up to that memory, so she worked hard to raise pears instead of apples like the rest of her family, and she turned out to be very skilled in that task, even earning her cutie mark after a successful pear harvest.
