General Info/ Description: Nova doesn't have many friends, not because she prefers to be alone, but because she's always moving. On that note, she isn't very good at socializing and is often shy and weary around strangers however once warming up to them she is found to be very sweet and friendly. She's quite lazy sometimes and very neutral. Being a fruit bat, she likes to eat fruit. LOTS OF FRUIT. It’s her main diet. Mangoes, nectarines, peaches, kiwis, and she likes to drink coconut milk. She hates being stuck in one place for too long. Even after a mere ten minutes of being in one spot, she's bored, or probably sleeping. The little stars in her hair are sticker stamps that each represent every new place she and her father visit, whether it be a new landscape, town, or country. For every new place that she goes to, she puts a new sticker in her mane.

Back Story: Her mom left for reasons unknown, but Nova paid no mind, her dad was all she needed. Since the time she could crawl, she has nearly traveled the entire world with her dad. They never stayed in one place for too long. Her dad was an avid explorer. Nova didn't mind, in fact, she LOVED traveling with her dad to new places. They traveled to every kind of territory: desert, jungle, forest, seas, etc…. Even meeting the zebras in the wonderful land of Zebrica (Africa)! As a traveler, her dad knew that if you didn't have a map (and they rarely ever traveled without one, just in case), to use the stars to aid in your navigation. He showed her the stars and how they helped him navigate. Nova immediately fell in love with the night sky. Being a bat pony, she is mostly nocturnal, and in her free time, she would watch the stars, familiarize each one of them and sometimes play 'Connect the Dots' and make pictures out of them.

Cutie Mark Story: Well as usual she was staying up late, after her dad had went late night exploring and left her behind in their camp sight. He had told her to stay close to camp if she went off. He had ended up being gone longer than Nova had anticipated, and worrying for him, she went to go and look for him. After wandering deep into unfamiliar territory for what seemed like hours, Nova concluded that she was lost. She cried for a little bit, worried and terrified. And then she remembered what her dad said about using the stars to find your way back home. But on this night, there were too many clouds blocking the view of the stars. She began to worry, until she saw a visible but faint shooting star, darting in the direction behind her. She didn't think much of it until another past, going the same way. Then another and another. Taking it as a sign and seeing what little choice she had, she went in the direction of the shooting star. She kept going, and whenever she would veer off course, is when another shooting star would appear and correct her path. After a few minutes of walking, she saw the glow of a camp fire. She ran towards it and when reaching it found that it was her campsite and her worried dad. She explained to her dad what happened and how she found her way back. Her dad was relieved and proud of her and hugged her. Then her cutie mark appeared.

Where They Are Now: After learning more of the night, Nova feels more comfortable going on her own late-night explorations without supervision. She is always able to find her way back to her dad.
