- Flurry Heart is the first born daughter of Shining Armor and Princess Cadence. The oldest of the NG characters, Flurry uses this fact as a way to get others to do what she asked of them to do.

- Being born the first alicorn baby and first born in a millenia in the Crystal Empire, Flurry Heart was spoiled.. And ended up growing up to become spoiled rotten. She aquired a cocky attitude and a high ego, and would throw a fit whenever soething didn't go her way. Shining and Cadence did their best to teach her to respect others and not to take what she had for granted, but behind their backs, Flurry would resort right back to her spoiled ways. As an adult, she appears to be the epitome of regality; but behind the curtains she is actually still quite selfish.

- When her little sister Euphony was born, at first, Flurry felt superior due to the fact her sister was not born an alicorn like her. She felt no reason to feel threatened by her. She thought she was the Crystal Empire's favorite, and would remain that way. However, once the Kingdom discovered Euphony's glorious talent of soothing the hearts of everypony with her songs; Flurry realized there was a chance the kingdom would turn to her instead.

- Flurry Heart hated her sister. Euphony began getting all the attention, all the admiration, and suddenly she felt ignored; Like the fact she was an alicorn and first born was no longer important to them. (Which of course wasn't true, but her pride gave her a blind eye) And once it seemed her Crystallor, Sunburst, was also getting ready to begin Mentoring Euphony as well, Flurry's boastful heart shattered and she turned "cold hearted".

- In an angry rage, Flurry Heart steals the Crystal Heart and locks it away, saying the Kingdom did not deserve light and love anymore for abandoning her. Euphony and her parents did their best to try and convince Flurry that she wasn't being replaced and she was just as important as she ever was. The Crystal Empire once again was burried in a chilling raging snowstorm. It wasn't until Euphony flew and broke through the blizzard to get to Flurry and risked major damage to grab hold of her, and show her that she loved her; Despite how Flurry always treated her. Flurry Heart's cold heart began to warm up, and breaking down into tears she apologized to Euphony and begged for forgiveness. Placing the Crystal Heart back in it's place, she made a formal apology to the Kingdom and helped clean up the mess she made. Fro then on, she wasn't as boastful or selfish, but from time to time that personality still comes out.
