Background/Personality:

Marble Chord is the first child and only son of Chip Cutter and Sweetie Belle. Born to two artistic souls, it only made sense that Marble himself favor the arts, and by Celestia Chip and Sweetie would not have it any other way. Once Marble was able to speak, Sweetie began teaching her son how to sing, hoping her son's talent would be in music. When not with his mother, Marble was in the workshop with his father, watching as the brawny stallion crated masterpieces from stone. Sweetie and Chip soon made it a personal competition to see whom their son would take after, and the young colt loved the attention. For the first three years of his life, Marble watched his parents display their own talents in the hopes their son would favor one or the other while the silver colt simply soaked in the attention and admiration. Through all the effort put in by both parents, Marble seemed to possess talent in almost every form of art; however, his preference and eventual special talent came in the form of music, much to the delight of Sweetie. At the incredible young age of four, Marble gained his cutie mark in the musical arts when he composed his first song, a simple lullaby, of which many more songs would follow. With this discovery, Sweetie signed her son up for the most prestige musical school in Equestria for young colts: Fine Tune's Musical School for the Gifted. As a personal favor, the dean promised to accept Marble into their musical composition program when he was old enough: meanwhile while the colt is still quite young, the dean urged Sweetie to keep the young colt at the Ponyville school so that he may grow up normally, something Sweetie embarrassingly overlooked and later realized was the right choice. So for now, Marble attends school alongside his friends Terra Taps, Lunar Luck, Johari, and Peony Pear, laughing and playing, while also creating music feverishly after school, most of the time for his mother's plays.

Since Marble Chord was given so much individual attention as a younger colt, the silver unicorn adores attention and will go to some length to acquire the attention and admiration of his friends. Similarly to his cousin Moonstone Voice, Marble is a little bit of a show off in his talents and accomplishments: however, unlike his cousin, he is not a snob. Marble is also somewhat eccentric, especially when "in the zone". One fault of the brilliant unicorn is his obliviousness: there could be an epic battle occurring, and Marble would never notice unless brought to his attention.

Relationships:

As both an only child and one given devoted attention, Marble is spoiled by his parents with adoration and love, of which the unicorn shares in return.

Marble does not have any biological siblings; however, he does see Terra Taps and Lunar Luck as sibling like since their mothers are best friends.

Marble LOVES the fact that he comes from a very artistically talented family: his mother is a broadway star, his Aunt Rarity is a famous fashion designer, and his closest cousin, Moonstone Voice, is a promising actor. Family gatherings are quite entertaining because of these talents.

Special:
- Marble Chord's cutie mark is a quill surrounded by sparkles creating a musical chord. The mark symbolizes Marble's talent in music, especially in composing music. Marble gained the mark after composing his first song, a simple lullaby.
- Marble has heterochromia: his left eye is green, while his right eye is blue.
- Marble always wears a headband to keep his bangs and naturally unruly hair out of his face. He has multiple headbands to match either his mood or for fashion.
- When an adult, Marble will be the shortest stallion: he will maintain a short & stocky physique.
- After his time in primary school, Marble will attend Fine Tune's Musical School for the Gifted, a musical academy of which sports alumni such as Octavia and Fancy Pants.
