After saving Octavia from the bullies, Vinyl immediately latches on to Octavia, making her the first real friend she has ever had in Canterlot. However, like a bad itch, just when you think she's gone, she finds a way to keep coming back. "Clingy" doesn't begin to describe young Vinyl, as she continues to follow Octavia all the way to the bitter end in the present day.
