As annoyingly loud Ophelia can be, she does take time to be calm and quiet. This is all thanks to Auntie Fluttershy, and Twilight is eternally grateful. As children, Nessa Mae and Ophelia were very close, so this resulted in many sleepovers in Fluttershy's cottage. Very quickly she became aware of the need for earplugs when babysitting the small Draconequus. Fluttershy was able to tame Ophelia's wild personality (for a short period of time) just enough to teach her the value in peace, quiet, and tranquility. When quiet, you can hear the birds chirping and the wind rustling the forest's branches, speaking a beautiful language of its own. This stuck with her into her adulthood. Whenever she becomes distressed or angry, ready to create earsplitting cries and screeches, she remembers this lesson. Taking her time gliding into the clouds, listening to the birds, and mimicking their small chirps.
