(Apple Spritz walked into the barn to see her mother sitting at a table with papers in front of her, clearly a bit troubled)

Spritz: Hey there, ma, what's wrong?

AJ: It's nothing you need to worry about, Spritzy, just boring old bills. *sighs* Unfortunately, our harvest didn't bring in as much bits this moon as we had hoped it would.. We're a little tight this moon. *tosses aside a bill* 

Spritz: Oh.. Well, um.. Maybe I can get some side jobs? Try to raise some bits to help out with the-

AJ: No, no; Don't you go on doing that; I'll find a way to make the next harvest worth it.. There's just so many apple trees that don't get attended to thanks to the outgrowth of the farm.. We end up losing those apples and then we lose profit. Perhaps I just need some more help around here.. Maybe I'll hire somepony.

Spritz: But mom, that would just mean we would have to pay them, that is the opposite of progress.. Hey! I have an idea!

AJ: *stares at her daughter with a raise eyebrow* Oh yeah?

Spritz: Yeah, um.. Maybe we can rent off a portion of the farm?

AJ: *stares at Spritz with wide unblinking eyes* 

Spritz: … It's an.. idea? *laughs nervously* 

AJ: Yeah, an idea all right; a bad one. Why in the hay would you think that's a good idea?

Spritz: Well, you said so yourself. The orchard is growing too big. Maybe if he tear down an acre or two and rent it out to another farmer, maybe they can bring in profit and pay rent to us? I mean, it's not like this orchard has been nothing but apples before, seeing as Great Grandpear had his pear farm over there before they relocated to Vanhoover.. So why not just rent it out instead of letting trees go to waste and take up space?

AJ: So we just uproot and kill countless apple trees then, is that what you're getting at?

Spritz: Well, no, maybe we can find other orchard that could use some new trees? Send a messenger bird to Appeloosa, see if they could use a few more?

AJ: *rubs her chin, deep in thought* Well.. I guess that isn't the worst idea.. It's just such a shame to loose all those trees.

Spritz: But you'd have lost them anyways by not being able to take care of them all properly.. Right?

AJ: … You're right. Thanks, Spritzy. You know, you got your father's wits when it comes to bits. *chuckles a bit and collects the bills she tossed* 

Spritz: Ha, I try~

THis isn't a story arc, I simply wrote this as an introduction to some new characters I'm going to be introducing.

They are a solely OC based family within my canon next gen universe.
They are going to be living in the orchard beside Sweet Apple Acres where Grand Pear's pear orchard once stood before moving away to Vanhoover.

(They aren't going to be pear related, in my NG, Grand Pear has passed away along with Granny Smith. Although passed, Grand Pear's pear orchard in Vanhoover is thriving, so there is no need to relocate back to Ponyville.)

This will open up a new opportunity for more story lines~ (And character shipping, which I know is gonna happen lol xD)
