"so curious, oh how wonderful it must be to be seeing something so beautiful for the first time" Cheerilee smiled as she looked down into her foal's big green eyes, which were wide with wonder at her surroundings. Faith was nearly 8 months old, rather small for her age but still healthy.

Faith looked up at her mother when she spoke, her ears perking up attentively. A happy gurgle arose from the foal as she crawled up onto her mother's leg, and stuck out her tongue happily.

Cheerilee smiled, a small breath puffing from her nostrils.

"you're a silly filly, you know that?" the mare said, nuzzling her foal gently.

Faith giggled, spit bubbles popping out of her mouth as she watched a wild flower sway in the breeze.

"what a perfect day in the sun" Cheerilee said with a smile, suddenly she was interrupted by a tiny yawn. When she looked down, Cheerilee noticed Faith had curled up between her legs, into a tiny ball of reddish pink fur. "goodnight my little flower child" Cheerilee said softly, kissing her foal's nose before resting her head down into the grass to nap with her daughter.
