This was a made by Stratus35 which was originally a sketch that he din in his MLP Ship Requests spree drawing that he was offering to do to his followers, I made severals which was Dusk Shine (R63 Twilight) with Sunset Shimmer which is a ship that I really like, and Stratus35 was so kind to do. Seeing them reading a book just looked so sweet that I had to make it a complete finished work so I did asked Stratus if I could color it and publish it in my gallery as tanks for work. I colored it myself and did the Friendship Castle library which the porthole of the EqG world is. Which trying my hand as coloring someone else's sketch I wanted to try something different and decided to forgo my usual time consuming painting process which I want to shave off more time in my work process. So, I used the usual coloring process with clipping layers with layer style set on Multiply and Overlay but this time I used the selection tool and use hard soft brushes to do the shading. with minimal efforts I managed to do put enough detail in the fort that I didn't need the original sketch itself and used highlights and minimal classic brushing. The library and the books in the background was actually really easy to do thanks to a few wicking with the brush presets which I went through the basic rendering process, clipping layers and such, an absolute breeze despited the apparent hight level of details at first glance. All in all I think it took me less then height hours to do this and could have saved more time if I was sure of what I doing the whole time, and I am very much happy with it and will use this as a bases to for other works.
